Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome, Sarah! We recommend to play her awesome music during reading for better perception!
Hello Sarah! How would you introduce yourself?
﹥Hey! My name is Sarah, I’m 18 and I’m currently living in Bath, UK.
When did you start making music?
﹥I started learning to play violin when I was about 8 or 9, but I only started writing and recording music about 9 months ago though. I’ve also had a few lessons with piano and I’m completely self taught with guitar.
What is your favourite instrument or a plugin to use while creating music?
﹥I love using an audio interface to record guitar into garageband, I like messing about with the different sounds you can get from it.
When you get started with creating new piece, what do you do at first?
﹥Usually I’ll just play about and improvise some stuff, record a basic track of the first idea that I like and then work on it from there.
Who had (or has) the greatest influence on your music?
﹥Chilly Gonzales’ more recent music (Solo Piano albums) has had a huge influence on me, he’s an artist I always go back to and his live performances are amazing. He puts so much into his music.
If you could create something with any artist, who would it be?
﹥I’d love to work with Mac Demarco, he seems like a pretty cool guy.
What thing about making music do you wish someone told you earlier?
﹥That it takes time, you can’t just expect to record something and it to be amazing. You really have to work at it and stick at it.
What part of making music do you cherish the most?
﹥The feeling you get from playing, creating and listening to music. I don’t know what I’d do without it.
What do you prefer: sampling, simply playing music or maybe both sound fine?
﹥I prefer simply playing music, never really tried sampling anything.
